A New Year, A New Board
Supervisor Judith Henckel
Upper Mount Bethel Township welcomes Judith Henckel to the
Board of Supervisors. While Judy brings a new face to the
Board, she certainly is no stranger to the Township. She has
been actively involved with various groups such as the
Township Environmental Advisory Council, the Township Open
Space Committee, the Northampton County Open Space Committee
and Martins-Jacoby Creek Watershed Association, to name a
few. Judy will give the Board of Supervisors a new
perspective, as do all new Supervisors. There is much to be
accomplished this year and in coming years. We are confident
that Judy will help us meet the many goals and dreams for
the future of our Community. We wish her the best of luck in
this position and look forward to working with her.
Supervisor Joseph Battillo
Joe Battillo ended his term in office on January 7, 2008.
During his tenure, he accomplished many positive tasks.
Joe’s support of our emergency services and unlimited aide
during our emergency situations helped to put Upper Mount
Bethel Township on a pro-active path concerning these
issues. His strong belief and leadership in cooperative
efforts for both the Board of Supervisors and Intermunicipal
applications allowed us to complete projects that otherwise
would have been put aside. This leadership has laid the
ground work for us to continue these efforts in order to
provide the best service possible to our residents while
keeping the costs as low as possible. Joe will remain
involved in the community. Just one way he is doing this is
by retaining his position on our Emergency Management Team.
We thank him for his dedication and help. Good Luck Joe!
